I love going away for the weekend and exploring our city like a proper local. Being spontaneous and booking a getaway somewhere out of Cape Town is becoming a habit and one that I love. One spontaneous Saturday, my boyfriend and I decided to pack our bags and head out to Franschhoek for the night. We packed the car and headed out on a beautiful 45 minute drive from Cape Town. After stopping at a few wine farms (without having any breakfast) we set out to find the perfect little cafe for a much needed relaxing lunch. Whilst on our mission to find the perfect lunch spot, we came across Big Dog Cafe and was pleasantly surprised by the warm welcome and “vibey” atmosphere that the cafe had to offer.
Wow… what an incredible place! Nestled in the heart of Constantia lies this beautiful gem of a hotel. A place that looks like something out of a painting. You would never think that there is such beauty hidden behind the walls that you see from the road.
